Get Involved!

The main goal of our club is to promote literacy. We can do this by working around the community with people of all ages to help improve their literacy skills.

Possible Service Projects Ideas:

* Joining Friends of Watauga County Public Library and participating in some of their events

* Holding Campus-wide Poetry Slams ( also a possible fund-raiser)

* Creating a group Children's Book (hopefully getting it published)...this would look VERY good on transcripts/resumes!

* Working with the Writing Center on creative writings and provide help and support for those who need it.

* Reading to local preschoolers and elementary students.

This doesn't even scratch the surface! There are so many other projects out there we could do. If you have and ideas for projects we can add to this list please send them to applsociety@gmail.com or post them in the forum !
